Surface Treatments

Surface Treatments consists of three different surfaces, Fair face, Sand Blasted and Polished or Terrazzo.

1. Fair-faced Concrete

Fair-faced concrete, is named for its decorative effect. It belongs to one-time casting moulding, without any external decoration, directly adopts the natural surface effect of cast-in-place concrete as the veneer. Therefore, unlike ordinary concrete, the surface is smooth and smooth, the colour is uniform, the edges and corners are distinct, no damage and pollution, only on the surface. Apply one or two layers of transparent protective agent, which is very natural.

In Ecocem we use variety of materials for our moulds such as silicon , polyurethane , gel coated fiberglass,  film faced ply wood , wood , PVC , plastic panels and more. This way we get the exact type of fair face finish that we require.

2. Sand Blasted

Sandblasting concrete is an abrasive blasting technique used to blast concrete away to expose the aggregate beneath it for a rough surface finish. In addition, the procedure is also designed to instantly remove dirt, grime and paint.

We use size sand for blasting in order to get the exact finish that we require.

3. Polished or Terrazzo

Polished concrete is much like standard concrete with chemical densifiers added to fill the pores to give a dense, durable matrix. The surface is then ground down with diamond polishing tools to achieve the required level of smoothness, shine and finish specified.
